HPS lighting stands for High Pressure Sodium, which is a special type of lighting for greenhouse and commercial growing applications. HPS grow lights have revolutionized indoor gardening over the last two decades. From stronger, healthier seed starts into faster maturing, vigorous plants that offer much higher yields and more spectacular flowering than what is normally achieved without supplemental lighting. HPS lighting not only supplements sunlight but can actually replace it during long winters where sunlight is in short supply. Plants need light for proper growth. The light spectrum range produced by artificial light - especially HPS - enhances the natural light derived from the sun by many times over. HPS lighting is very energy efficient and the cost of operating a typical grow light system is comparable to using a kitchen appliance. The life of HPS bulbs ranges from 6,000 to 20,000 hours.
Currently we are using 150W~1000W electronic ballasts for MH/HPS at same wattage ranges in this application. Dimming function is very favored by the users, in order to provide different level of photo-energy and reduce electric power consumption.
Ballast: 100~400Vac input, 150~1000W output, dimming or non-dimming
